Last Night I Dreamt of Aquanaut's Holiday

Late last night I decided I wanted to stream.

I had gotten my MiSTer set up to run PS1 games and resolved the issue where I wasn’t able to use my Ninja V to record gameplay footage.

With Doshin still heavily on the mind, I had the urge to dive in to Aquanaut’s Holiday. Kazutoshi Iida’s first game for the Playstation.

Holding the original PS1 controller in my hands again for the first time in maybe 20 years felt somewhat nostalgic.

I expected it to be a slow and somewhat boring affair. I expected I would appreciate what it was going f . . .

In the Wake of Doshin the Giant

Today is the first of fourteen days in a row I will not be featured on Waiting For Nintendo.

I decided a few weeks back that it was time. That I really needed a break.

While Waiting For Nintendo is an admittedly low-effort production, it still takes a considerable amount of time to set up, record, title, thumbnail, schedule, and interact with.

My time lately has been really limited. At least, the time I can spend in a day pursuing some creative goal.

I needed this break.

So far, I've been able to make a lot more progres . . .

The Urban Champion

You could say all the fighting took its toll. I've been quite scatterbrained lately.

I've found it difficult to focus, difficult to plan, and where the way forward is typically clear for me after finishing a project like this -- I've been struggling to ascertain exactly what it is I ought to be doing next.

I've been wanting to make another post on here for a while. Since completing this site, I've hardly used it, which is sad. But I'm here now and so I just want to get a few things off my chest. Think of it as a "public" (no one wi . . .

Well, it's out.

It's been a bit since my last real upload. I wasn't sure how I'd feel after this one. Now that it's out though, I'm reminded of what it's like.

Often the week or two after a big project like this, for me, feels somewhat like a hangover. Low energy. Tension headaches. Low-key depression. Brain fog. An inability to really watch the video myself.

As of now, the video is still 1 of 10, with Getsu Fuuma Den and Rygar close behind. I expect Rygar will pass it soon. Just like with my last few uploads, there was no "second wind" . . .

What Now?

At the very end of last year I uploaded a members-only video to my YouTube channel titled "Changing My Perspective" that went over some thoughts I had regarding the future of my channel and things about myself I believed I needed to work on.

A lot of what I said in that video still rings true. Some of what I touched on has been in-place for a while now. Some of it, I still need to work on.

The first part of this year I had two main focuses. One was giving the "podcast" idea I had a real shot. The other was making the best video I could pos . . .
